Meet Maria
Maria Sims is an accomplished real estate broker with a focus on luxury properties and a career that began in 2002. Drawing from her background in software engineering, she has transformed industry marketing through innovative design and syndication tools. A University of Illinois alumna with a degree in Management Information Systems, Maria pursued further studies in Computer Science at DePaul University.
Maria’s path to real estate was sparked by a life-changing visit to Kauai in 2001, which inspired her to quickly earn her broker’s license and start her career at RE/MAX in Chicago. She transitioned to Sotheby’s in 2004, where she achieved top honors as the #1 Listing Agent in the Luxury Division. In 2007, she launched her own brokerage, but with the birth of her first child, she moved to Maui in 2010, marking a new chapter in her life and career.
That same year, Maria joined Keller Williams Realty Maui, where her technological expertise and commitment to education helped her become the leading listing and buyer’s agent by 2013. She continued this success through the company’s merger with KW Island Living in 2017, returning to her specialty in luxury real estate. In 2019, Maria joined eXp Realty, embracing a global, tech-forward approach to extend her marketing reach internationally.
